"Dobrobut" support by Vodafone will perform 9 free heart surgeries

Dobrobut Medical Network has become a partner of Vodafone Ukraine's Good Deed as a Gift charity program.

The Dobrobut Foundation will use the funding of UAH 1 million received from Vodafone to conduct surgeries for children with congenital heart disease.

About 10 thousand children with this problem are born in Ukraine every year. The program "Big Future of Small Hearts", which is one of the key activities of the Dobrobut Foundation, provides Ukrainian children with congenital heart disease, whose parents cannot pay for treatment on their own, with access to minimally invasive heart surgery, the author of which is a well-known cardiac surgeon of the Dobrobut medical network, Oleksandr Babliak. Such surgeries provide children, including infants, with a full life.

"Surgery on a child's heart is a difficult test for the whole family. Minimally invasive surgery, i.e. without a large sternum incision, helps to go through this journey quickly and with minimal trauma. The child can walk the next day, and return home on the third or fourth day. The only thing he will remember is a small mark under his right arm", said Oleksandr Babliak, chief cardiac surgeon at Dobrobut Medical Network.

"The synergy of big Ukrainian business and charity is extremely important today. On behalf of the entire Dobrobut Foundation team, I would like to express my respect to Vodafone and thank them for their trust. Thanks to our joint efforts, we are able to give 9 sick children a full and healthy life. At the same time, we are relieving the burden on the state healthcare system, which needs support in these difficult times for all of us. Only together, giving each other a shoulder to stand on, we can overcome all the challenges", said Dmitry Grossu, Director of Dobrobut Foundation.

"We are pleased to welcome Dobrobut among the partners of Good Deed as a Gift, because together we will be able to help even more children and give them the opportunity to live a healthy and fulfilling life. The Good Deed as a Gift charity program has been running at Vodafone Ukraine for over 12 years. We are constantly developing it, increasing funding, adding useful and long-term partnerships, because we understand how important it is to provide timely and high-quality assistance to our children", said Victoria Ruban, Head of Public Relations at Vodafone Ukraine.

Children from families with an average monthly total income below the subsistence level for a family can receive surgical care under this project. To apply for treatment, you need to fill out a form on the Dobrobut Foundation's website https://dobrobut.foundation/order-for-assistance/.
