Conservative Treatment ofPectum Excavatumin Children Using Individual Dynamic Brace Compression System (cost of IDBCS excluded)

Noninvasive (conservative) treatment of congenital pectum excavatum in children: at the first visit a doctor determines the size of the IDBC compression plate, performs the required anthropometric measurements, develops specifications for the orthopedic workshop. During the second visit a doctor explains rules and coaches skills of IDBCS handling, determines compression pressure and makes relevant marks on the IDBCS for convenient use by the parents. The next visits focus on adjusting the correction degree and vector.

Indications: congenital pectum excavatum I in a child.

Service duration (tentatively) is from 7 to 24 months. A child needs supervision by a surgeon once a month in the first three-five months, then once in two months (8-10 months in total).

Terms of service provision

Age restrictions: children after 4 years (optimally after 6 years). Contraindications: heart defects requiring surgical treatment, blood clotting disorders; osteogenesis imperfecta and other diseases with bone fragility of bones, rigid deformity forms.
